Ross has a deep-rooted history in the timber industry, having grown up watching his father work in the sawmill. With over three decades of experience in sawmilling, he has dedicated a large part of his life to the craft. His journey began with the purchase of a chainsaw, cutting fence posts, and then landscape sleepers, which eventually led to the acquisition of a small truck to transport his timber products.

As his business expanded, he took the ambitious step of constructing his own sawmill.

With the unwavering support of his wife, Ginneth, their sawmill business has flourished over the years. Together, they have honed their expertise and are now specialists in crafting high-quality hardwood decking, meticulously overseeing the entire process from inception to the finished product. The culmination of their dedication and hard work has resulted in the establishment of Decking House Bundaberg, a thriving business that takes pride in producing quality timber products and top-notch hardwood decking.
